Get Started Now
If you are interested in fashion photography and you want to become a part of this world, then you are going to need to get your supplies and get started now. Even if you are just getting into photography part-time for the time being, the longer that you have experience as a photographer, the better off you are going to be in the end.
All the experience that you can get is really going to matter, especially when you go to write up your resume and apply for a job.
Look in the Right Places
When you do decide to go out and actually try to get a job in fashion photography that you are going to love, remember that you are probably not going to be able to land your dream job right away. There are so many great, skilled photographers out there these days that you really have to climb your way to the top after you prove what a great photographer you are.
So do not look down on the lower positions, for instance there may be a magazine hiring a photographer and while it is in high fashion it is not as elite a job as you would like, but even if you take it to gain more experience while you are working your way towards the area that you would prefer to be working in, that is still a great idea.
It is important that you are looking in the right places for jobs and that you are persistent. But more than anything, what is going to show to your employers is how good of a job you do with your fashion photography and whether you are someone they would hire again.
